SME Outreach Resources

You can help the Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration (SME) and the Minerals Education Coalition (MEC) spread the word about the importance of mined minerals in everyday life.

As an SME member, do you attend area education conferences? Does your SME Student Chapter conduct presentations in local schools? Does your SME Section purchase educational materials for local teachers? If so, thank you for contributing to mining and minerals education. If not, the Minerals Education Coalition can help you get involved in local outreach activities.

Browse the resources below and contact Tanya Kriss, MEC outreach coordinator, at mec@smenet.org or 303-948-4221, to talk about how to get started today.
