Part of the Minerals Education Coalition’s mission is to inform and educate the general public about the importance of mining in their everyday lives. MEC staff and volunteers work in-person events and MEC provides virtual educational materials for online events.

Move Mining Next Gen Competition Is Open! Students in grades K – 12 create a 3-minute video that shows how important mining and minerals are in our lives. There are prizes for different grade categories and the largest cash prize is $1,000! All the details, including parental consent forms, can be found on MoveMiningNextGen.org. |
